At Southern Maine Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, P.A. we make every effort to provide you with the finest surgical care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this goal, we are committed to working with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement.

We realize that the insurance maze can be confusing at times and, as a courtesy to you, we will gladly handle the majority of the insurance process on your behalf. When you come into the office for your initial consultation, you will be provided with a treatment estimate. At that time our financial coordinators will contact your insurance and verify coverage. This is an estimate only and charges may change depending on the nature of your procedure.

Please keep in mind that your insurance policy is a contract between your insurance carrier and your employer, not Southern Maine Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, P.A. While our practice accepts all insurances, this does not necessarily mean that we participate with your specific insurance carrier. We strongly encourage you to call your insurance carrier prior to your first visit to determine whether or not we are in network.

All insurance carriers differ in their reimbursement rates depending on policy language. For this reason there may be out of pocket expenses required at the time of service. For your convenience we accept cash, personal checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Care Credit. Care Credit offers interest free loans through an independent company and allows payment over time. Our financial coordinators are happy to help you through the application process, it usually only takes a few minutes to apply and determine eligibility.
